Tension settings
Four tension dials. A higher number is tighter. The setting changes with the fabric and the thread.
Common problems
- Skip stitches Fit a new BLx1 needle, size 75 to 90, and seat it fully.
- Wavy seams Support the fabric as it feeds, and ease the tight thread one number.
- Thread breaking Re-thread that path with the presser foot up, then ease its tension one number.
