Tension settings

The Admire 1000 has four tension dials: left needle, right needle, upper looper, and lower looper. Fine-tune one dial at a time on scrap fabric.

Common problems

  • Skip stitches Fit a new ELx705 needle, size 80 or 90, flat side to the back, and seat it fully.
  • Wavy seams Differential feed runs from 0.7 to 2. Normal sewing is 1. Raise it above 1 for wavy seams on knits, or lower it toward 0.7 if lightweight fabric puckers, and support the fabric as it feeds.
  • Thread breaking Re-thread that path with the presser foot up, then ease its tension one number.
