Tension settings
The OV234 has four tension dials: left needle, right needle, upper looper, and lower looper. Fine-tune one dial at a time on scrap fabric.
Common problems
- Skip stitches Fit a new HAx1SP needle, size 75 or 90, flat side to the back, and seat it fully.
- Wavy seams This machine has differential feed. Raise it for wavy seams on knits, or lower it if lightweight fabric puckers, and support the fabric as it feeds.
- Thread breaking Re-thread that path with the presser foot up, then ease its tension one number.
