This machine takes HAx1 (130/705H) needles. Size 11 is for light and ordinary fabric. Size 14 is for heavier fabric.

Tension settings

The MO-1000M has four tension dials: left needle, right needle, upper looper, and lower looper. For ordinary fabric the manual puts each dial between 3 and 5. Fine-tune one dial at a time on scrap fabric.

Common problems

  • Skip stitches Fit a new HAx1 (130/705H) needle, size 11 or 14, flat side to the back, and seat it fully.
  • Wavy seams Differential feed runs from 0.7 to 2.0. Normal sewing is N, which is 1. Raise it for wavy seams on knits, or lower it toward 0.7 if lightweight fabric puckers, and support the fabric as it feeds.
  • Thread breaking Re-thread that path with the presser foot up, then ease its tension one number.
