Tension settings

The 910 has four tension controls: left needle, right needle, upper looper, and lower looper. Fine-tune one at a time on scrap fabric.

Common problems

  • Skip stitches Fit a new 130/705H needle, size 80 or 90, flat side to the back, and seat it fully.
  • Wavy seams The display shows differential feed, with N as the normal mark. Move it above N for wavy seams on knits, or below N if lightweight fabric puckers, and support the fabric as it feeds.
  • Thread breaking Re-thread that path with the presser foot up, then ease its tension one number.
