Huskylock 535D Overlocker Parts

This machine takes DBx1 needles (also called 16x231 or TEx1). Use size 11 for light fabric and size 14 for heavier fabric.

Tension settings

The 535D has four tension dials: left needle, right needle, upper looper, and lower looper. Fine-tune one dial at a time on scrap fabric.

Common problems

  • Skip stitches Fit a new DBx1 needle, size 11 or 14, and seat it fully.
  • Wavy seams Differential feed runs from 0.7 to 2.0. Move it toward 2 on knits, or toward 0.7 if lightweight fabric puckers, and support the fabric as it feeds.
  • Thread breaking Re-thread that path with the presser foot up, then ease its tension one number.
