Tension settings
The 745 sets thread tension from the program dial. Choose the stitch program and the machine sets the tensions.
Common problems
- Skip stitches Fit a new ELx705 needle, size 80 or 90, and seat it fully, flat side to the back.
- Wavy seams For wavy knit seams, move differential feed from 1 toward 2. For puckered sheer fabric, move it toward 0.5.
- Thread breaking Re-thread that path with the presser foot up, and check the program number matches the stitch.
