Tension settings

Starting point in the manual's 3–5 range for 4-thread and 3-thread overlock. Fine-tune one dial at a time on scrap fabric.

Common problems

  • Skip stitches Fit a new 130/705H (HAx1) needle, size 70 to 90, and seat it fully, flat side to the back.
  • Wavy seams Ease differential feed toward 0.7–N, or support the fabric as it feeds.
  • Thread breaking Re-thread that path with the presser foot up, then ease its tension one number.
